The new technology that revolutionizes vehicle fleet companies
13 January 2023 · By Ana Navarrina
AI is going to revolutionize the fleet management industry.
At Bdeo, we know this for sure. That's why we have launched Visual De-Fleeting.
What does it consist of?
It is an Artificial Intelligence technology solution, specifically Visual Intelligence.
It allows fleet companies to optimize management time in the massive vehicle evaluation stages.
Sounds good, doesn't it? Read on and we'll tell you more.
Visual Intelligence at the service of fleets
Managing large fleets takes time and resources: surveyors and experts have to inspect vehicles, check them one by one, take pictures, point out damages, estimate repair costs, and evaluate the steps to be taken based on the results obtained from these examinations.
Visual Intelligence technology makes it possible to obtain an assessment of the condition of each vehicle in seconds. It can be applied in leasing, renting, subscription, car sharing or rent-a-car models.
In this way, the costs of having a vehicle idle while it is waiting to be evaluated by an expert are reduced. It also makes it easier for damage to be reported at any time, even weeks before it is due to be returned, and provides an optimized, digital customer experience.
But how does the assessment happen?
A guided process from the user's smartphone
This technology captures evidence through a guided and personalized process, performed by the user via their smartphone.
It then provides in a matter of seconds an evaluation of the vehicle with the damage identified and classified by type, and, if necessary, a comparison with a previous state of the car.
From the captured evidence, costs will be estimated and details of repair costs will be included in the final report, segmented by part price and labor.
Finally, the automation of the process can help in making decisions about whether it is appropriate to repair or replace the part, obtain the recommended B2C selling price of the vehicle, or define whether it is fit to be leased again or it is preferable to send it to a B2B sales channel.
